Turn the Youth Around - Bringing Success to At Risk Youth!
Turn the Youth Around (TTYA) is an organization dedicated to bringing together the finest in media production and performance with the current educational systems offered to the youths of our communities. TTYA seeks to accomplish this goal by using the medium of the performing arts, and film or video production to teach students the educational basics, such as mathematics, science, computer literacy, language and social skills while also training them in relevant media production, and performance technologies. This program allows school age students to both explore, and possibly build upon careers in the performing arts, television production, news reporting, editing, scripting writing, on-air camera performances, as well as an array of other occupational trades, and professions associated with the media production field. Again, the majority of production projects will be directly devoted to supporting existing educational programs in the fields of mathematics, computer literacy, science, and language. Remember, one of the primary target audiences of TTYA are “at risk youth”, who without your support wouldn’t have a chance.
